A little back story.
I'm Lauren, a Product Design Lead based in Austin, TX. My career began in Visual Design and naturally progressed towards User Experience and Product Design. I realized that as much as I love creating delightful visuals, I am equally interested in the "Why" and "How" behind Product strategies.
I am passionate about creating experiences that don’t feel like work. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to use a complicated product. It's this frustration that fuels my drive to fix or avoid these experiences. This relates to an aspect of product design that I enjoy most. Interacting with real users. Empathizing with their pain points and putting myself in their shoes is a crucial step in creating thoughtful and frictionless experiences. It's so rewarding to see users glide through an experience and have a true appreciation for how effortless it felt.
I work in a cross-collaborative way, understanding that designers need to have skills not only related to design, but in business, technology, and marketing. It's an exciting challenge to connect real business objectives while maintaining user-centric experiences that are easy to use.
